The FinePix Z200fd makes perfect portraits simple with Fujifilm's Face Detection technology. A green square surrounds the face of the primary subject on the camera's LCD screen, whilst white squares identify up to nine other subjects to optimise focus, white balance and exposure for up to ten faces in a single frame.
Movement tracking keeps the camera 'locked on' to its subjects until they move out of the picture. The technology works irrespective of the subject's position in the frame, and is not confused by people wearing glasses.

Taking Fujifilms acclaimed Face Detection system one step further The FinePix Z200fd also offers automatic red eye removal; the FinePix uses the system to find and instantly correct any red eye from every face in the frame.
The FinePix Z200fd's red eye removal system is not confused by lips or red coloured jewellery, as some other cameras can be, as it works in tandem with Fujifilm's Face Detection system to identify the eyes and nothing else.

NEW self-timer modes - The more the merrier...
Couple Timer and Group Timer work in conjunction with Face Detection technology, the self-timer automatically sets off after the camera has detected faces in a frame.
The Couple Timer mode cleverly detects two faces in a frame and will automatically release the shutter button as the two faces come closer together. The Couple Timer mode has three settings so users can set the timer to detect faces at various distances, whether they are standing side by side, or cheek-to-cheek.
The FinePix Z200fd's Group Timer mode can detect up to four faces in a frame and automatically sets the timer to take that precious shot. Using the Face Detection button, the user can select the number of faces in the frame, from one to four, and the camera will only take the shot once all the specified number of faces are in the frame.
In either case, the camera won't take the photo if one of the faces is out the frame, so there's no need to worry about someone being missed out of the shot! Group shots have never been so easy.

Intelligent Flash and Natural light
Intelligent Flash results in visibly more pleasing, natural looking photos, avoiding the harsh lighting effect that can occur with traditional in-camera flash.
For times when a decision about lighting could mean a missed photo opportunity, the FinePix Z200fd's Natural Light plus Flash mode takes two photos in quick succession, one with flash and one without. Both photos are then displayed side by side for quick comparison so users won't miss the moment fiddling about with flash settings.
To further reduce the chance of blur spoiling shots in low light the FinePix Z200fd also features sensitivity settings up to ISO 1600, allowing natural images that retain the atmosphere of evening events to be taken without the use of flash.

To avoid the problems of camera shake at longer focal length this model features Dual Image Stabilisation.
Basically the cameras high sensitivity lets you use a fast shutter speed to freeze the action in sharp detail, while the built in CCD shift image stabilisation automatically compensates for camera shake.

The FinePix Z200fd's 16 scene modes include 'beach', 'party' and 'fireworks' for optimum photography, no matter what the event. A redesigned graphical user interface and control layout ensure that the powerful feature set remains easy to use even for the novice digital camera user.
Simply select a Scene Position that suits your situation and the camera automatically selects the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to ensure that you get the most of your photography; more stunning pictures, less hassle.
Playback features - Zoom up and Cropping
Once you’ve captured your group portrait you can use the handy ‘Zoom Up’ feature, which allows you to detect faces in playback mode so that you can check them one by one and ensure that you have captured the image as you intended it.
If you spy a priceless expression amongst your group portrait that stands out from the crowd, then simply select the built in ‘Cropping’ function, which will allow you to automatically crop and save the selected portrait in the camera.
'Blog' mode

Now you can share your precious moments again and again with Fujifilms new in-camera ‘Slideshow’ functions. For added entertainment value you can also preset a soundtrack to accompany your images as they display.
‘Auction Mode’ allows you to montage your images together for easy upload to your favourite sites. Perfect for the ebay savvy amongst us.
Select ‘Blog Mode’ during playback and your image is automatically resized and edited in your camera ready for posting to the web; saving you precious time by eliminating the need to use a PC in order to optimise your images for web use.

Folder Management
Having access to memory cards with increased capacities means that we can now take more images than ever before. With this in mind Fujifilm have introduced a handy ‘Folder Management’ option that allows you to save and organize your images in handy preset folders, which comprise titles such as, ‘Travel’, ‘Family’ and ‘Favourites’; and you can also store any personal photos in a password protected ‘Private’ folder.
This storage function makes it far easier to find your images and allows you to set a themed slide show with ease.
