Face Detection is a selectable option within the camera that you can activate whenever you are taking pictures of people, and this combined with the intelligent reactions of our FinePix cameras will ensure that you get perfect results and optimum portraits - every time.
Automatic red-eye removal detects and compensates for red-eye in detected faces, for flattering flash portraits and party pictures.
The system is not confused by lips or red coloured jewellery, as some other systems can be, as it works in tandem with the Face Detection system to cleverly identify eyes and nothing else.
Letting the camera do this retouching is so much quicker and easier than struggling at home on a PC.
Highly sensitive
Photos taken in low light are the ones that are most likely to produce disappointing results. Limited flash range and direct light can mean the foreground is harshly lit and the background lost all together.
If the flash isn't used at all, the image can suffer from digital interference called 'noise' as the sensor struggles to pick up all of the detail in the scene.
With the FinePix J15fd at the ready you don't have to worry about a thing; it can achieve an ISO of 1600, alowing you to capture blur-free images even in low light or with rapidly moving subjects. This high sensitivity also means that you can shoot without flash to preserve more natural looking scenes.

The camera's Anti-blur system increases its ISO setting and associated shutter speed, so that the shutter can open and close much more quickly, thereby freezing moving action without blur - perfect for school sports fields.
The Anti blur mode on the FinePix J15fd will automatically correct camera shake and subject blur to enable you to concentrate on capturing crisp actin shots with background detail in tact.
When a still image isn't sufficient, the FinePix J15fd's movie mode, at 30 frames per second, captures movie clips with sound that are limited in length only by the size of memory card used.

The camera is preset with an extensive selection of scene modes which make it ready to shoot anything from nightscapes, to portraits or ski slopes in an instant. These include 'beach', 'party' and 'fireworks' for optimum photography, no matter what the event. There's even a 'Baby' mode to ensure those all important pictures of baby's first years look spot-on, with skin tones faithfully reproduced.
Simply select a Scene Position that suits your situation and the FinePix J15fd automatically selects the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to ensure that you get the most of your photography; more stunning pictures, less hassle.
