NEW Tracking Auto Focus

Normally only found on digital SLRs, the Tracking Auto Focus function tracks the subject automatically for as long as the shutter is half-pressed and the subject is kept inside the frame. This ensures your subject is kept in Focus even when the zoom range is fully extended.

Impressive Panoramas

To capture sweeping scenery or large groups of people, the new Panoramic Shooting Mode makes it very easy to create impressive panoramic shots. Panorama Shooting captures and combines a maximum of three consecutive shots at 3 Megapixel resolution, which are saved to the memory card as one panoramic picture.

Continuous Shooting & High Speed image playback

Continuous Shooting makes it easy to capture sporting events or other action scenes at 13.5 frames per second in a burst. Once you’ve taken your shots, High Speed Playback lets you view them as a streaming sequence (10 frames per second) that resembles a video.

This function also lets you scroll through the content of your memory card for quick and easy image retrieval.

Automatic Scene Detection

Now it's easier than ever to get stunning shots. Scene Recognition AUTO cleverly detects the scene being photographed and the camera automatically chooses the best focus and exposure for the scene to reveal stunning photos. The six scene modes are Landscape, Macro, Portrait, Night, Backlit Portrait and Night Portrait.

Portrait

Recognises portrait shots by detecting that there are faces in the frame and optimising focus, brightness and white balance accordingly.

Landscape

Automatically recognises scenic shots such as mountains and buildings. Ensures that vivid colours are captured & adds depth to your pictures.

Night

For low-light and night time scenarios, shutter speed and sensitivity are automatically adjusted, producing blur-free pictures with minimal noise.

Backlit Portrait

Optimises the brightness of the faces in the picture (that would usually end up in shadow) and compensates for the underexposure caused by the light behind.

Night Portrait

When photographing people at night or in low light, SR Auto optimises flash range, shutter speed, and the exposure of the portrait, whilst capturing a smooth and noiseless background.

Anti-blur technology

The FinePix S1500 features Fujifilm's Dual Image Stabilisation, which combines a mechanically stabilised Super CCD sensor with high ISO sensitivities, (up to ISO6400), for total anti-blur protection.

The combination of these technologies reduces the blurring effects of both hand-shake and subject movement (which often occur when shooting at full zoom ranges) even further to provide the highest quality digital pictures, with sharp, clean results no matter what the shooting conditions.
