And the winner is…. the FinePix F60fd

We’ve always known that the FinePix F60fd is a smart little shooter, but don’t just take our word for it…

Pocket-lint.co.uk recently awarded the FinePix F60fd 'Best Digital Camera 2008' at their recent award ceremony. This prestigious event is judged by some of the UK’s top technology and gadget journalists who praised the FinePix F60fd for its winning combination of cutting-edge features, including new Scene Recognition AUTO, image quality and ease-of-use.

    Beautifully formed

Beneath the F60fd’s stylish metal exterior there lies a combination of features and technologies that allow this model to produce images of breathtaking beauty.

The FinePix F60fd is available in classic Matt Black.

As your eye sees it... Low light - less noise

    Optimum performance

The secret to the FinePix F60fd's class-leading image quality is Fujifilm's unique Real Photo Technology (RPT). The guiding principles behind RPT are simple; to set the highest possible standards for overall image quality, to expand digital photography opportunities and to give you fewer wasted shots.

RPT is an umbrella term for the combination of cutting edge technologies such as the Super CCD sensor, Real Photo Processor and Fujinon lens, all optimised to work together to produce the most natural, beautiful results in any conditions.

We pull out all the stops to bring you the power to capture the moment exactly as your eye sees it.

    Optical zoom

This new camera features a sharp 3x Fujinon optical zoom lens, (equivalent to 35-105mm on a 35mm camera).

Despite its compact size, there are no compromises with optical clarity and speed of operation. The lens is robust, reliable, and delivers sharp pictures every time.

    Easy to use

Fingertip control with our Mode Dial

Ultimate control is at your fingertips with the F60fd’s vertical Mode Dial and streamlined `Graphical User Interface’.

The intuitive icon based interface confirms shooting modes, scene positions, or control settings with brief explanations on the LCD screen. Easy-to-read icon and text description of the selected mode help you choose and confirm the optimum setting for best results. This takes much of the guesswork out of digital camera operation. With less to worry about, you'll have more fun with your picture taking!

    Easy to view

    High resolution LCD screen

The FinePix F60fd features a large high-resolution 3-inch, 230,000 pixel LCD screen, which is coated with Fujifilm's proprietary Wide View film. This minimises glare and reflections, and also enables consumers to view the LCD from any angle (even in sunny conditions), to enable shooting from waist level or above the head, or to make picture playback to a group so much easier.

    Convenient xD/SD compatibility

The FinePix F60fd features an xD/SD compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD Picture Card, SD or SDHC media to store and transfer your photos.

This will give you the flexibility to buy the card you want, use cards from previous cameras, or choose the media that fits with your other desktop devices like laptops, PDAs or card readers.

    Internal memory

The FinePix F60fd makes it possible for you to get that picture even if your memory card is full. The 25MB of internal memory built into this compact model ensures that you will never have to miss that special shot.

Think of it as your internal insurance policy for photo opportunities. With that said, the main storage for images on the F60fd should be an additional xD card, which will allow you to accommodate almost as many images as you like.
